Official Rules NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. CONTESTANTS RESIDING IN AREAS WHERE THE CONTEST IS VOID MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST, BUT WILL BE INELIGIBLE TO WIN PRIZES. SEE ELIGIBILITY SECTION BELOW FOR FURTHER DETAILS. CONTEST PERIOD. The Contest begins at 12:01 AM MT on May 14, 2007 and ends at the conclusion of Prairie Circuit Finals scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 26, 2007. REGISTRATION. To enter the contest you must first register using the Registration Form. Limit one entry per person and/or email address. 2007 RoyalFantasyRodeo.com organizers, The American Royal Association, and the RoyalFantasyRodeo.com Development team (hereafter collectively "Contest Providers"), are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, incomprehensible or misdirected entries, bugs, failures in servers, hardware or software transmission failure or lost, delayed or corrupted data transmission. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. All entries become the property of Contest Providers and will not be returned to entrant. No mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will be accepted. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. Potential winners may be requested to provide Contest Providers with proof of identification and proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of registration. Employees of Contest Providers, their respective parents, their affiliates and subsidiaries and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to win prizes. The American Royal staff, Prairie Circuit Rodeo associates, American Royal Western Entertainment Committee and rodeo Volunteers, and Prairie Circuit Judges are not eligible to win prizes. Prize recipients may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use winner's name and information provided by winner for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Any and all applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. HOW TO ENTER AND PLAY. After you register, proceed to the My Picks page. The 2007 Royal Fantasy Rodeo season consists of predictions based on events to be held during the 2007 Prairie Circuit events listed below. 1. May 24-26: Kansas City, Kansas (Abdullah Shrine Rodeo) 2. June 1-3: Strong City, Kansas (Flinthills Rodeo) 3. June 7-9: Garden City, Kansas 4. June 14-16: North Platte, Nebraska 5. June 27-29: Gardner, Kansas BYE WEEK 6. July 5-7: Cushing, Oklahoma 7. July 19-21: Phillipsburg, Kansas 8. July 26-28: Manhattan, Kansas 9. August 2-4: Dodge City, Kansas August 2-4: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 10. August 8-11: Lawton, Oklahoma* 11. August 16-18: Gordon, Nebraska 12. August 23-25: Altus, Oklahoma 13. August 30-September 1: Elk City, Oklahoma *Week 10 is the last week for 2007 RoyalFantasyRodeo.com League entry. The contest has been divided into 10 leagues of competition over 14 weeks. A player may join a league beginning on May 14, 2007. The league the player is placed in will be based upon the time he/she signs up. All players joining before 12 midnight of the day preceding each weeks designated rodeo will be placed into the league starting that week. A new league will begin each week for the first ten weeks of play. After the tenth week no more new players or leagues will be allowed to begin play. Each user, designated by the associated e-mail address, will only be allowed to enter into one league for play. To play you must make your picks for each week using the “My Picks” page. Select the cowboy (or cowgirl for Barrel Racing) you believe will earn the most points during that event according to each week’s selected rodeo placings as well as an opportunity for additional points by choosing three cowboys who will have the top money earnings at the designated Prairie Circuit Rodeo for RoyalFantasyRodeo.com competition each week. The sum total of all your points earned from each event from a given rodeo will determine your points for that week. The sum total of all your points earned from each week will determine your rank and all weeks will determine your overall point total at the conclusion of the contest. You will have the opportunity to submit picks before the start of each week. Please refer to the Schedule for the dates and applicable deadlines. Confirm your selections using the submit button at the bottom of the page. Follow all additional instructions listed on that page, observing all posted deadlines (see DEADLINES below). The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the Contest will be the servers of the Contest Providers. Contestants entering picks close to any applicable deadline does so with this information in mind. Notes: * Only one entry is allowed per week per contestant and/or e-mail address. * Any picks received after the applicable weekly deadline will be void for that week. * You may change your picks any time before the applicable weekly deadline. * You must submit picks for each week in which you wish to participate. * In the event one of your selections is does not compete in the event (such as in the case of an injury, or any other circumstance that will not allow the cowboy or cowgirl to compete), you will be awarded 0 points. * Any incomplete, postponed or canceled event may be removed from the contest at the sole discretion of the Contest Providers. An event must be declared official before points are determined for it. * Grand Prize tie-breakers: In the event of a tie for the Grand Prize, the entry with the best rank for the final week of competition among the tied entrants will be declared the winner. If still tied, the entry with the best rank for the second last week of competition among the tied entrants will be declared the winner. This count back method will continue until the tie is broken. * League tie-breakers: Amongst people tied in points for a League Prize, the entry with the best weekly score the final week of competition will be declared the winner. If still tied, event points earned in the following order will be used to break the tie: Bareback, Bull Riding, Ladies Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping. * Finally, if a tie still exists after all of the above tie-breakers have been invoked (such as in the case of identical picks), the time of entry will be used as a tie-breaker with earlier being better. In the event you have changed your picks during the pick period, your last set of picks will be used for the purposes of the final tie-breaker. DEADLINES. The contest will open for picking for all segments on May14, 2007. The deadline ("TERMINAL DATE") for entering and/or changing submissions is posted on the Enter/Change Picks page for each applicable week of competition. The pick deadline for each week is shortly before the scheduled start of the first event that week’s competition. The time posted on the Enter/Change Picks page is the official deadline. The Contest Providers reserve the right to adjust the deadline for any day in the event of a scheduling change or any other reason. No submissions will be accepted after the deadline for any reason. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the Contest will be the servers of the Contest Providers. Contestants who enter their picks close to the posted deadline do so with this information in mind. POINT SCORING SYSTEM Points are awarded for each of the eight events based on the order of finish during each of the 13 weeks included in the 2007 RoyalFantasyRodeo contest: Point System for Rodeo * First place cowboy in each event gets 10 points * Second place cowboy in each event gets 7 points * Third place cowboy in each event gets 5 points * Fourth place cowboy in each event gets 3 points In the event an event is canceled, postponed or does not occur as originally scheduled during the relevant period, all Contestants will automatically earn zero points from that event regardless of their selection. PRIZES. The following prizes are available to be won: Grand Prize Winner will receive: * Two Round Trip Airline Tickets to Las Vegas for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. * Two Night Hotel with accommodations for Two. * Two Tickets for one night of Rodeo at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada. League Winners receive: * Hotel Accommodations for two in Kansas City on Oct. 27, 2007 for the Final Round of the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo. * Two Lower Level Tickets for Oct. 27, 2007 * Dinner for two with the cowboys in the "Cowboy Hospitality Room" Note: Limit one prize per person per prize category. In the event of a repeat winner, the next best ranked eligible contestant who has not won previously will be awarded the prize. If you are found to have multiple entries, you will be ineligible for all prizes. All winners will be contacted by phone or email. UNCLAIMED PRIZES SHALL NOT BE AWARDED. NO SUBSTITUTION, TRANSFER OR ASSIGNMENT OF PRIZES SHALL BE ACCOMMODATED OR PERMITTED. ODDS OF WINNING. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries received. Contest Providers are unaware of how many entries there may be. DETERMINATION OF WINNERS. The winners shall be determined based on the contest standings after the completion of each applicable period. Awarding of prizes is subject to validation and eligibility verification. The data stored on the computer systems of our prize supplier/underwriter is the sole determinant of all picks, as well as all information provided by you as part of such attempt. An entry shall be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account. A potential winner may be required to provide us with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the electronic mail address associated with the potential winning entry. NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS. Winners of any prize shall be notified by email and may be required to sign, notarize and return by fax an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release within one (1) to five (5) days of notification. This Affidavit must be complete and be attached to a copy of winner's valid government issued photo identification. The information in winner's Affidavit must be correct and must mirror the information provided in winner's entry or winner is disqualified. If winner(s) cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize or fails to return the completed and executed Affidavit/Release as required, or if the Prize Notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize shall be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen. Prizes will be distributed within sixty (60) days after each prizewinner has been successfully contacted and notified of their prize and has complied with all contest rules and requirements. Contest Providers reserve the right to substitute a prize for another of equal or greater value for any reason. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners. The names of all prizewinners and their respective city of residence may be posted on the contest web site. USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION. Contest Providers reserve the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the Contest, for internal purposes with regards to the Contest, unless prohibited by law. Contestant data will not be provided to any third party unless the contestant has agreed to it during registration or on the contest site. Entrants further grant to Contest Providers the right to use and publish their proper name and city/state of residence online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest. By accepting a prize, winner and travel companion (if applicable) grant permission to Sponsors to use their names, photographs, likenesses, voices, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless Contest Providers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. CONDUCT. Contest Providers reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the game or website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. You agree that in the use of the Contest -- including but not limited to chat areas, and the registration of usernames or groupnames -- you will not use obscene, libelous or slanderous language, or language which infringes upon a third party's trademark, trade name or other intellectual property right or right to privacy. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contest Providers, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, sponsors, officers, consultants, agents, and employees against and from all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses asserted by third parties alleging that the Contest includes obscenity, libel, slander, or infringes upon the third party's intellectual property or privacy rights, as a direct result of your actions in the use of the Contest. You further agree to not knowingly: damage or cause interruption of the Contest; prevent others from using the Contest; obtain or modify another user's non-public account information without his/her consent. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GAME IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CONTEST PROVIDERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH CONTESTANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. Winners and travel companions (if applicable) assume liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. Contest Providers are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Contest. Contest Providers assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Contest Providers are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participant's or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Contest Providers which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Contest Providers reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The decisions of the Contest Providers are final on all matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. By entering this contest, you acknowledge acceptance of all contest rules and agree to be bound by them. Contest Providers reserve the right to withdraw, amend or terminate this Contest at any time without prior notice.
